Tradiationally the weaving is done by men of the shoowa from the kuba group in the kasai region, congo.
Made from palm tree fibers, raphia.
Condition report:
Rug itself in good vintage condition, raphia near the borders heavily thinned.
Condition is as seen in the pictures.
