Rattan rice storage basket also called Ulbong.
Used in the Ifugao region by the indigenous Peoples of Luzon/The Cordilleras.
These jar shaped baskets were modeled after Chinese ceramic jars of similar shapes.
The handle was used to hang the baskets and protect it from rodents.
Condition report:
Very good antique condition, some signs of wear consistent with age and use.
Condition as seen in the pictures.
